Exciting News: We’re Refocusing to Help You and Your Dog Even More!

At The Learning Dog Academy, our mission has always been clear: practical solutions for real-world living together, just you and your dog. Over the years, we’ve offered many ways for dogs and families to learn, grow, and play—including beloved group classes and our Behavior & Enrichment Center. But today, we’re making a powerful, intentional shift to serve you more effectively.

Why the change?
We’ve listened to you—our clients—and seen what truly creates lasting results. The most transformative breakthroughs occur through Behavior Modification and Private Training. These intensive, one‑on‑one experiences build deeper bonds, more reliable skills, and real-life success in ways group classes or enrichment center visits simply can’t match.

What’s changing?

  1. The Learning Dog Behavior & Enrichment Services.

  • We’re now The Learning Dog Behavior & Enrichment Services. This better fits with our refined focus on well-being as the foundation for healthy behavior.

  • To kick things off, we have a free webinar, Dogs Doin’ Doggie Things, which provides an overview of well-being and the benefits of well-being on behavior.

  1. Adventure Dogs

  • These customized excursions bring people and pups together in nature, using real-world environments to teach focus, confidence, curiosity, and calm.

  • Like our enrichment center, Adventure Dogs meets dogs’ natural instincts. But it also strengthens the handler–dog partnership in real settings—trail, park, quiet street, you name it. It’s learning through exploring life together, just as we’ve always encouraged.

  1. Behavior Modification

  • Our AARF (Aggression, Anxiety, Reactivity, Fearful) consults go deep: identifying why your dog is giving you trouble and showing you how to change it.

  • Redirection, counter‑conditioning, desensitization—methods grounded in humane, positive reinforcement and real behavior‑change science.

  1. Private Training

  • Personalized, flexible, and focused 1:1 sessions—by your side at our facility or in your home.

  • Whether you're mastering recall, loose-leash walking, or everyday calm, these lessons are built around yourgoals and your dog.

What’s ending?

  • Group classes (puppy, adolescent manners, scentwork, loose leash walking, etc) will no longer be offered.

  • Behavior & Enrichment Center rentals are retired.

These programs were incredible learning experiences… but our focus needs to be on delivering results that qualify as more than fun—they need to change lives. We’ve seen that our tailored, intensive offerings do that again and again.

How does this benefit you?

  • Better results. Customized work means you're not one of four dogs—the focus is on you and your situation.

  • Greater convenience. No class schedules or waiting lists—choose what fits your life, your pace.

  • Stronger partnerships. We don’t just teach tricks. We help you understand your dog—why they do what they do—so your partnership keeps growing long after training ends.

What’s next?
If you’ve already signed up for a group class or BEC rental, no worries—we’re honoring those commitments. And for everyone else, we’re here, ready to get started with one of our three core services:

  • Adventure Dogs – nature‑based real‑world training

  • Behavior Modification – targeted, science‑backed transformation

  • Private Training – focused, flexible, real-life results

Feel like this is exactly what your dog—and life together—has been waiting for? Let’s connect. We’re excited to build on the strengths we’ve always known in dog+family partnerships. Your first step? Schedule a
